About Mental Health and Wellness Associates

Mental Health and Wellness Associates provides patient-centered mental wellness services to patients across the state of California and was founded in Santa Monica, California. This psychiatry group and wellness practice was founded because there is a need for access to high-quality and individualized mental health and mental wellness care. 

Finding the help you need should not be complicated, it should not be frustrating, and it should not be dictated by your insurance coverage. Providing hope and care directly to patients, out of network from all insurance plans, allows the team at Mental Health and Wellness Associates to work directly with you, to determine what care you need and to help you receive the support and treatment needed to get better quickly. 

Each psychiatrist and therapist at Mental Health and Wellness Associates is part of our compassionate team of doctors who take a holistic approach to care, considering each patient’s mind, body, and spirit and their full biological, psychological, and social perspective to provide accurate diagnosis and effective and individualized treatment.

Our team specializes in diagnosing and treating anxiety, adult attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), PTSD, psychotic disorder, and other mental health conditions. Our psychiatrists offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, and our team provides a full range of telehealth services.

By not contracting with health insurance companies, Mental Health and Wellness Associates has the ability to provide customized services without time constraints or limitations common in traditional insurance-based practices. Sessions are never rushed, and there are no restrictions on the frequency of appointments.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, the "No Surprises Act", health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.This practice is NOT in-network with any insurance plans but will provide superbills for those patients with PPO insurance and has always has provided the cost of initial appointments and follow up appointments to patients before establishing care and will continue to do so. Please ask if you have any questions about the cost of your appointments.
